“The Winchesters”, the spinoff prequel to the classic American TV series “Supernatural”, has released a new trailer and announced that the series will officially start in the fall.
The new series will tell the story of the “Winchester Brothers”, the protagonists of the “Supernatural” series: Dean and Sam’s parents, John and Mary.
The synopsis describes it as “an epic, untold love story from Dean’s point of view, how John met Mary and how they were desperate to save their love and the world.”
Meg Donnelly will play 19-year-old ghost hunter Mary Campbell, and Drake Rodger will play John Winchester, who is just getting started. The two need to form a team.
Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean, will serve as the narrator, and he and his wife Danielle will also serve as executive producers. The script was written by “Supernatural” executive producer Robbie Thompson.
