He emphasized: “The’living corpse’ in “The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey” is very different from the modern living corpses spread by viruses. It is a corpse controlled by a wizard, which is new to me.”

The Korean drama “The Cursed” released last year was written by Sang-ho Yeon.

He said: “When writing this original TV series, I studied many supernatural creatures in South Korea and Asia. Part of the research was used in the series. There are many interesting supernatural creatures in East Asia, and there is a movie version.”

He spent four months writing the script of “The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey”, and in the process also communicated with experts and professionals in the field of shamanism.

The movie version also has the story of chasing mysterious and suspenseful things in “The Cursed”, “I also strive to present the sense of speed and action scenes that only the movie version can have. I hope that the audience can have a great audiovisual experience in the theater.”

He hopes that the audience will regard “The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey” as a supernatural action adventure film, “This film also contains a variety of emotions, I hope they will like it.”

“The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey” is jointly created by the publisher of “Gisaengchung” and the production company of “Goblin”, and is directed by Yong-wan Kim.

He believes that the movie version is a difficult task. “People who have never watched a TV series must be able to understand this movie, and fans of the TV version should be able to enjoy it. The background of this film is set three years after the TV series. Shows the differences in roles and their abilities.”

He said he was excited when he knew that the original cast would appear in the movie. “The drama is closer to fantasy themes, and the movie is more toward the action movie of the living corpse.”

He said that there are many creations from scratch in the production, and he also said that he did not rely on computer special effects to create living corpses.

“We must insist that they are logic controlled by wizards, so they have to have realistic movements.”

In the film, these corpses wear gray uniforms and chase prey in the streets, escape ladders and tunnels, leaving a deep impression on the audience.

Speaking of the most difficult scene, Yong-wan Kim admitted that it was a car chasing scene in the streets and tunnels.

“In the past, there have been many excellent car chasing scenes in film and television productions, so I had to create unique scenes. The safety of staff and actors was our top priority. Therefore, we developed equipment to carry cars to the studio, but later The filming location was changed to a tunnel. I am very grateful to the staff and actors. Although the air quality in the tunnel is very poor and the environment is full of challenges, they still put their best efforts.”
