According to ‘Variety’ reports, Lady Gaga’s new franchise in the new DC film ‘Joker 2’ is paid $10 million, returning star Joaquin Phoenix and director & screenwriter Todd Phillips are each paid $20 million.
The film will be a musical film, similar to ‘A Star Is Born’ rather than ‘In the Heights’, and will cost about $150 million.
This film is the follow-up to the 2019 hit film ‘Joker’, the full title ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’, Phoenix continues to play the Joker, Gaga as the female lead is expected to play Harleen Quinzel, Zazie Beetz negotiated to return to play the role of Sophie Dumond, in the previous film is Arthur the clown’s neighbor, a struggling single mother.
Filming will begin in December this year, and Northern America will be released on October 4, 2024.
