The film “Cocaine Bear” directed by Elizabeth Banks has been successfully finalized. In the end, the film adapted from the true story is set for release on February 24, 2023. This is not a traditional box-office-heavy schedule.

The original story of the film took place in 1985, when a bear died in the National Forest from an overdose of cocaine.

In the previous three months, drug dealer Andrew had dropped a large amount of drugs from a plane into the area. Unfortunately, Andrew was caught in a parachute and fell to his death in the yard of a home in Knoxville, Tennessee.

And this black bear ate these “airdropped” drugs and died due to overdose.

The cocaine bear was later given to the Chattahoochee River National Forest Recreation Area, where it was displayed in the visitor center.

Apart from a small board, one does not see any indication of its particular origin. Now the black bear has become a major sight in Lexington, Kentucky.

In the producer’s statement, the film is described as a “character-driven, documentary-style film about the modern history of the United States”.
