‘The Boys’ producer Eric Kripke recently spoke to ‘Rolling Stone’ and revealed that the former U.S. President Donald Trump was always referenced when portraying Homelander, “He wanted to be the most powerful person, even though he was completely incapable of being competent… The worse a public figure behaves, the more fans they seem to get.

It was a phenomenon we wanted to explore, Homelander realizing that he could show his true self to the public and that people would like him that way.”
