‘Westworld’ dropped the hammer hard in its fourth season, leaving the only way for the series to follow is to “turn back”.

Overall Comments:

In some ways, the fourth season of ‘Westworld’ is the most traditional “high-tech thriller” of the series to date. It tells the story of a world controlled by brutal robots that enslave humans and play with them at will according to their malicious whims. Structurally, the fourth season of ‘Westworld’ throws in some flexible strands (without making the main story overly convoluted) and uses existing characters to keep viewers more engaged, which is the longest the story has ever been laid out, and is remade in a particularly sinister way at the end, nicely avoiding the “it was all a dream ” the perfunctory ending.
