Simon McQuoid confirmed his return to direct the sequel to the well-known fighting game adaptation of the R-rated action film “Mortal Kombat”, “Mortal Kombat” is his film directorial debut, the previous works are mostly commercials.
A new line for the sequel is already in development, written by Jeremy Slater (‘Moon Knight’ ‘The Umbrella Academy’ ‘The Exorcist’).
The first one was released in Northern America theaters last April + HBO Max streaming media online and was well received.
It tells the story of the Chosen’s able men and women who rallied against powerful enemies to protect the Earth, starring Lewis Tan, Ludi Lin, Tadanobu Asano, Hiroyuki Sanada, Jessica McNamee and others.
