The new film “Prisoners of the Ghostland”, a collaboration between Nicholas Cage and Japanese director Sion Sono, will be released in North America on September 17.
“Prisoners of the Ghostland” is Sion Sono’s debut in English film. The style is quite weird, as can be seen from the newly exposed US posters and new stills.
The protagonist of the film is a villain named “Hero” (Nicolas Cage). After failing to rob a bank, he came to the beautiful and violent world “the country of ghosts” where Eastern and Western cultures merged.

A kidnapped girl (Sofia Boutella) disappears in the ghost country, and the character played by Cage is sent to rescue her.
They must break the evil curse that binds them to escape the mysterious ghosts that rule the ghost realm.
“Prisoners of the Ghostland” will be released in North America on September 17.
