MGM picked up the distribution rights for the Jason Statham-starring & produced action thriller ‘The Bee Keeper’ for the US and some other territories, with shooting scheduled to begin at the end of this month and other casting still underway.
‘The Bee Keeper’ is directed by David Ayer, written by Kurt Wimmer (‘Law Abiding Citizen’ ‘Salt’) and run by Miramax, with plans to build it into a series.
Steeped in beekeeping mythology, this film follows the revenge journey of a man who will take on national risk after his identity is revealed to have been an agent of a powerful secret organization called ‘The Bee Keeper’.
