The ‘Tomb Raider’ movie series is being rebooted again.

MGM was supposed to give the green light for ‘Tomb Raider 2’ by May, but it didn’t happen and now MGM has lost the ‘Tomb Raider’ remake rights as the rights expired.

Now, the rights to ‘Tomb Raider’ have been returned to the game company and Graham King’s GK Films, the latest to cause fierce competition from several Hollywood companies.

With the refurbishment of the rights, MGM has been operating for several years ‘Tomb Raider 2’ was also cancelled, after which the new ‘Tomb Raider’ movie is not expected to be starring Alicia Vikander, will be recast.

The new ‘Tomb Raider’ movie released its first installment in 2018, grossing $275 million worldwide, and Angelina Jolie starred in the older ‘Tomb Raider 1 & 2’, which grossed $432 million worldwide.
