“Freud’s Last Session‎” focuses on the eve of the end of his life, and he invites famous British author Clive Staples Lewis (“The Chronicles of Narnia”) to debate the existence of God. (Coincidentally, Hopkins played Lewis in the 1993 biopic “Shadowlands‎.”)

The film will explore Freud’s unique relationship with his lesbian daughter, Anna, and the unconventional love affair between Lewis and his best friend’s mother.
