The 2016 western crime drama “Hell or High Water” is planned to be made into a series.
In development, FOX is working with Jessica Mecklenburg (“Dopesick”, “Stranger Things”) and film producer SK Global.
The film is directed by David Mackenzie, written by Taylor Sheridan and starring Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Jeff Bridges and more.
It tells the story of a pair of brothers who rob a bank in order to save their farm and are also targeted by two mounted police.
The drama version is inspired by the film, which will tell the story of a ruthless oil tycoon who exploits a group of farmers in Texas, and a pair of brothers rob a bank by evading the pursuit of the mounted police in order to keep their property.
