“We Own This City” is based on journalist Justin Fenton’s book of the same name, and is co-created by “The Wire” producers David Simon and George Pelecanos.
The story chronicles the ups and downs of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Tracing Task Force, and the corruption and moral decay that endured an American city.
In this city, policies against drugs and mass arrests come at the expense of actual police work.
“We Own This City” will be available on HBO Max on April 25.
