The official trailer for the drama version of ‘American Gigolo’ was released and it will start on Showtime on September 9.
‘American Gigolo’ tells the story of a dancer, the night, the sound and the blood, “Is this what you look like when you’re working?”
A remake of the 1980 film of the same name, starring Jon Bernthal and Gretchen Mol (‘Boardwalk Empire’) as The Punisher and Bernthal as a contemporary version of American Gigolo.
Julian Kaye, a downtrodden Californian sex industry worker, was sentenced to prison for a murder 15 years ago.
Now with a new lease on life, he has to deal with his old love Michelle (Mol), take care of his mother who is in a lot of trouble and find out who betrayed him back then, while the police detective investigating the murder is also involved in a bigger conspiracy.
