Guillermo del Toro’s new film is confirmed: he will turn Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel ‘The Buried Giant’ into a film, and like his new novel ‘Pinocchio’, it will be a stop-motion animation, and once again in collaboration with Netflix, Guillermo del Toro Guillermo del Toro is directing and producing, and co-writing the script with Dennis Kiely (‘Matilda’).

This fantasy novel is about an elderly couple living in fictional post-King Arthur England. Both of them are unable to maintain long-term memory, but remember that they may have had a son years ago, and decide to go to a neighboring village to look for him, only to uncover a bloody past.
