Warner’s latest announcement will turn ‘The Lord of the Rings’ ‘The Hobbit’ novel into a new movie.
Subsequently, Peter Jackson, director of the ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film version + ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogy, and writers Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens released a statement in response, saying that Warner and copyright holder Embracer informed them at every step of the process regarding the new film that “We look forward to having further conversations with them and hearing their future vision for this series moving forward.”
Currently the new ‘The Lord of the Rings’ movie has not yet decided on a director.
