  Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar and Ethan Hawke, Pedro Pascal collaboration of the new film ‘Strange Way of Life’ is hot shooting, recently Almodóvar in social media exposed a few photos of the set.

The film is said to be a “response” to ‘Brokeback Mountain’, a story about the tangled emotions between two men.

In an earlier interview with the media, Almodóvar revealed that he was approached by Focus Features before they approached Ang Lee to direct ‘Brokeback Mountain’, but Almodóvar didn’t take the job.

He told the press, “I think Ang Lee made a great movie, but I don’t believe the studio gave me complete freedom to shoot what I wanted.” Thus, the press considered Almodóvar’s ‘Strange Way of Life’ as a “response” to the missed ‘Brokeback Mountain’.

The title of the film comes from the song of the same name by Portuguese singer Amália Rodrigues, which will also serve as the film’s opening song. almodóvar said, “The song is very sad and a reflection of the lives of the two male protagonists.”

The film tells the story: 25 years later, Silva rode his horse across the desert to visit his friend Sheriff Jack.

They celebrated the meeting, but the next morning Jack told him that the purpose of his trip was not to renew their friendship.
