Paramount Officially Announces: The Original Crew Will Shoot “Star Trek 4”

At an investor meeting on Tuesday, Paramount executive Brian Robbins and producer Jeffrey Jacob Abrams revealed that Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho are in talks to return in 2023 “Star Trek 4” will be released on December 22.

As reported last March, Kalinda Vazquez (“Star Trek: USS PAN” “Fear the Walking Dead”) wrote the original script for the new “Star Trek,” which continues to be produced by Jeffrey Jacob Abrams’ Bad Robots.

This time marks Paramount’s determination to continue shooting “Star Trek” big screen works.

There were two projects in development earlier on the “Star Trek” movie: a version by Quentin Tarantino, and a version by “Fargo” creator Noah Hawley, both of which were on hold.

The IP “Star Trek” has been limited to the field of American dramas since 2018.
