The film will tell the origin story of Gru, the ‘Minions’ and ‘Despicable Me 3’ director Kyle Balda and Brad Ableson directed, Steve Carell continues to voice Gru, Julie Andrews, Russell Brand also returned.
Newcomers include Michelle Yeoh, who voices the highly skilled acupuncturist Master Zhou, and Taraji P. Henson, who voices Belle Bottom, the leader of the villainous Six.
‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ will open in theaters in the northern United States on July 1.
