‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ grossed $60 million on its first day at the North American box office, breaking 240 million RMB in two days in mainland China

‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Northern America collected $18 million in advance screenings on Thursday and grossed $59.6 million on its first day, ranking fifth in the epidemic period.

Comparing the advance-screening figures of the same film series, it is higher than the $15.3 million of ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ and lower than the $18.5 million of the first film. The film’s first week 3-day box office is expected to be $125-$142 million.

‘Jurassic World’ the first two Northern America opened at the box office: $208 million and $148 million, respectively.

Currently ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ in Rotten Tomatoes fresh rating fell to 32%, is the lowest score in the series. But its popcorn index is at 81%, which is still recognized by the general audience. The film’s Cinema Score rating of A-, IMDb rating of 6.0 barely pass.

Due to the relatively early opening in markets such as South Korea, the ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ film currently has a cumulative worldwide box office of $115 million.

The film has grossed 240 million RMB in two days of release in mainland China and will surpass 300 million RMB today, surpassing ‘The Bad Guys’ to become the highest grossing imported film of 2022 at the mainland box office.

‘Jurassic World’ 2015 got a cumulative box office of RMB 1.418 billion in mainland China this year, while ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ slashed RMB 1.695 billion in mainland China in 2018.
