Jim Parsons, Ben Aldridge, Sally Field starring in the new film ‘Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies’ is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on December 2, Northern America, expanded on the 9th and wide release on the 16th.
‘Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies’ focuses on a pair of gay lovers who face a terminal illness together, with Antoni Porowski, Nikki Michelle James, Jeffery Self, and Bill Irwin also starring in the film, which Michael Showalter directed and produced the film, and Focus Films distributed it.
The story, based on a biography by veteran American drama journalist Michael Ausiello, founder of TVLine.com, is described as “a heartbreaking tragicomedy about love and loss”: Ausiello’s (Parsons) boyfriend Kit Cowan (Aldridge) is diagnosed with terminal cancer and eventually dies.
The descriptions of their lives in the last 11 months are interwoven with moments of their previous encounters and their 14 years together.
Overcoming many obstacles to find true love, they have to face the biggest challenges in their lives together again.
