Elle Fanning’s new true-crime drama “The Girl From Plainville” debuts stills, which will air on Hulu in the spring.

“The Girl From Plainville” follows Michelle Carter’s controversial “text suicide” case.

The drama award explores Carter’s relationship with Conrad “Coco” Roy III, the events leading up to his death, and her controversial verdict of manslaughter.

In 2014, 18-year-old Conrad (Ryan) was found dead in a truck due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Because he suffered from depression and attempted suicide, the police initially ruled it as suicide.

Later, during the investigation, the police found that his 17-year-old girlfriend Carter (Elle Fanning) used text messages to encourage him to commit suicide.

The judge convicted Carter of manslaughter after investigating numerous text messages, emails, and phone calls between the pair and learning that both were prescribed psychiatric drugs.

Chloë Sevigny plays Lynn Roy, the hero’s mother, who is smart, helpful and has a cool sense of humor.

Feeling guilty about her son’s death, she faces adversity with stoic will, and then she discovers that his son’s life is more complicated than she thought.

Norbert Leo Butz as Conrad ‘Co’ Roy II, the man’s father, toughened by his life and work on the marina and boat in Matt Boisette, Massachusetts.

He is forced to face his own mistakes as a father and begins to accept his son’s death.
