According to the film’s director Reinaldo Marcus Green, the film will focus on the behind-the-scenes story of Bob Marley’s production of the album ‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’.

Speaking about the film, Marcus Green said that it is not only a film about the work of musicians, but also a film about the changes in history.

For this reason, he is looking for the right and accurate angle to cut into the life of Bob Marley.

To make the film more realistic, Bob Marley’s oldest son, Ziggy Marley, who has won three Grammy Awards, was also involved in the creation of the film.

In addition to directing the film, Marcus Green will also co-write the script with Zach Baylin. Previously, the two collaborated on ‘King Richard’.

Born in St. Anne, Jamaica, Bob Marley is the progenitor, pioneer and icon of Raggie. 1960 saw the beginning of Marley’s singing career, and each subsequent album propelled Raggie forward.

In 1981, Bob Marley died at the age of 36 after a long illness. After his death, the label released a collection of Bob Marley’s favorites called “Legends”.

As of 2011, the album is still the best-selling record in reggae history, with 20 million copies sold.

According to the plan, the film will be released on January 12, 2024.
