Rachel Zegler’s (‘West Side Story’ ‘Snow White’) musical animation ‘Spellbound’ announces additional cast members: Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, John Lithgow, Nathan Lane, Jenifer Lewis, André De Shields, Jordan Fisher .
Zegler voices Princess Ellian and Bardem and Kidman voice the King and Queen.
The story follows the tenacious Ellian as she embarks on a perilous journey on a daring quest to save her family and country after a mysterious spell turns her parents into monsters and threatens to shroud the kingdom of Lumbria in darkness forever.
‘Spellbound’ is directed by Vicky Jenson (‘Shrek,’ ‘Chicken Run’) with Lauren Hynek & Elizabeth Martin (‘Mulan’) and Linda Woolverton (‘The Lion King’ ‘Beauty and the Beast’), written by Alan Menken (‘Tangled’ ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Aladdin’) soundtrack, produced by Apple and Skydance.
