A leaked video of the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series shows Ewan McGregor and Darth Vader, played by Hayden Christensen, in another exciting and tense duel.
It’s unclear whether the scene was shot by actors Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen or by stunt doubles, due to the extensive wire work required, and how this scene will fit into the final cut of “Obi-Wan Kenobi”.
Disney and Lucasfilm have confirmed that Darth Vader will be appearing in “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, suggesting that Darth Vader will once again confront his old Jedi master.
Although fans will easily recognize him as the galaxy’s villain, director Deborah Chow has explained that he has some developmental stories in the series before he becomes the most feared character in the galaxy.
These stories are in between two trilogy, so it’s not the fully formed Vader from “Star Wars” that can be seen at first.
Speaking about returning to the role, Christensen said that returning to the role of Darth Vader was “fantastic” and that it was a great honor to wear Darth Vader’s costume again.
The actor last played the Sith King in “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith”, where he played Vader in the film’s third act, where he and his friend, in the film The turned enemy Obi-Wan fought a brutal battle.
Christensen said: “It’s very exciting for me because I’ve spent enough time in the role, I feel like I know him so well, and in many ways it feels very natural to be back in the role.”
While several cast members are returning for “Star Wars: Episode,” it’s unclear if James Earl Jones will voice Darth Vader again.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” will premiere on Disney+ on May 27.
