Kit Connor, the star of the Netflix hit series ‘Heartstopper,’ has announced his coming out of the closet due to harassment from a large number of fans. He tweeted, “I’m bisexual, congrats on forcing an 18 year old to come out. I think some of you guys aren’t getting the point of the show, bye.”
‘Heartstopper’ is based on the original comic book by Alice Oseman and stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke as Nick and Charlie, two high school classmates who fall in love with each other and begin a romance.
“I love you and this kind of brutality is so disgusting,” Kizzy Edgell, who plays Darcy, also spoke in support of Kit, “I’m so sorry you’ve been treated so unfairly.”
