‘She Said’, a new film starring Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan and focusing on an all-female team of journalists investigating the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment series, has released its official trailer.

‘She Said’ tells the story of Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, two reporters for ‘The New York Times’ who set out to investigate a “game-changing” story that caused an earthquake in Hollywood.

Similar in style to ‘Spotlight’ and ‘All the President’s Men,’ the film focuses not on Harvey Weinstein or his scandals, but on an all-female team of journalists who withstand the threat of lawsuits and intimidation to cover a game-changing story.

Tom Pelphrey as Twohey’s husband, Samantha Morton as Zelda Perkins, Harvey Weinstein’s former assistant who endures his abuse and later finds herself bound by a strict confidentiality agreement, Patricia Clarkson as ‘The New York Times’ investigative editor, and Andre Braugher as executive editor Dean Baquet.

After articles about Harvey Weinstein’s years of sexual assault and harassment of women came to light on October 5, 2017, it triggered an earthquake in Hollywood, with several insiders speaking out and the rise of the MeToo and TimesUp movements.

Harvey Weinstein was eventually fired from his own company and sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape.
