Trailer for queer romantic comedy “Fire Island” starring two Asian comedians Bowen Yang (“SNL”) and Joel Kim Booster (“The Other Two”), a fiery summer vibe, friendship, heartbeat and quarrel, it It will be available for streaming on Hulu on June 3.
Described as “the same-sex version of “Pride & Prejudice” in modern New York,” it tells the story of two friends who go on a week-long vacation to Long Island’s famous gay hideaway, “Fire Island,” accompanied by cheap wine and an eclectic group of Grid’s friend.
“Fire Island” is directed by Andrew Ahn (“Driveways” “Spa Night”), and produced by Searchlight Pictures and JAX Media (“Russian Doll”), with Booster also serving as a screenwriter.
“Fire Island” will be available for Hulu streaming on June 3.
