Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Alessandro Nivola, Molly Shannon and Lil Rel Howery star in the indie comedy film ‘Spin Me Round,’ which releases a pilot trailer in Northern America on Aug. 19.
Plaza’s boyfriend Jeff Baena (‘Life After Beth’ ‘The Little Hours’) directed the film and wrote the script with Brie.
Brie plays Amber, the manager of the Bakersfield, California branch of the Italian restaurant chain Tuscan Grove, who wins a free tour of the company’s gorgeous “establishment” in Florence, Italy, and gets to meet the wealthy, glamorous owner (Nivola).
But with a group of mismatched managers of local American restaurant chains, Amber’s envisioned romantic scenario turns into a very different adventure.
