‘The Walking Dead’ announces a new spin-off at 2022 San Diego International Comic-Con: Rick+Michonne, and actors Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira make surprise appearances at ‘The Walking Dead’s’ SDCC Meet and Greet session.
In 2023, AMC will tell Rick and Michonne’s story in a six-part mini-series.
The six-episode spin-off limited series, which will air next year, continues the “grand love story of two characters changed by an altered world” as Rick and Michonne are separated by unstoppable forces and for their own reasons into another world, setting off a war with the They are separated by unstoppable forces and their own reasons into another world, setting off a war against the “dead” and, ultimately, the living.
In a place like that, facing a situation they have never seen before, can the two find each other and themselves? Are they enemies, or lovers, victims, or winners? Would they even be alive without each other? Or, will they eventually find themselves as walking corpses?

Originally AMC’s idea was to release a movie with Rick as the main character to wrap up his story line, now it is confirmed to become this drama to serve as the conclusion of the story of the two.
AMC said the show will “start with six episodes,” which means it may continue if it works well.
