“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” will be the 9th film in the series.
In 1974, the first “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” was directed by Tobe Hooper, and it is recognized as one of the greatest horror movies of all time.
Tobe Hooper also directed the sequel “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2” released in 1986.
Two sequels were filmed in 1990 and 1995, but Tobe Hooper did not participate.
“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” will go live on Netflix next year.
