“The Matrix: Resurrections” is officially rated as R in North America because of the “violent elements and language” in the film.
The previous “The Matrix” trilogy was also all R-rated.
The film is directed and written by Lana Wachowski, and the two leading stars of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss return.

“The Matrix: Resurrections” will be released in North America on December 22 this year.
