Sydney Sweeney (“Euphoria”) joins the new Sony Marvel film “Cassandra Webb” in an undisclosed role.
“Cassandra Webb,” starring Dakota Johnson, was the first female-led superhero film in the Sony Marvel Character Universe.
In the comics, Madame Web is usually an elderly blind woman Cassandra Webb. She suffers from neuromuscular disease, which makes her movement and breathing inconvenient, and needs to be connected to a cobweb-like life support system.
She has the ability to predict, and has helped Spider-Man find the kidnapped people.
“Cassandra Webb” may be an adaptation of this setting, and she has ties to the “multiverse” and may be an important figure in opening multiple universes.
