Netflix initially estimated that the popular Korean drama “Squid Game” may be worth US$900 million to the company, making it the most valuable streaming TV series in history.

According to Bloomberg News, the production cost of this drama is only 21.4 million US dollars, which is equivalent to 2.4 million US dollars per episode.

Netflix internally estimates that “Squid Game” will bring more than 40 times the cost of value-about 891 million US dollars.

Last Friday, Netflix fired an employee who leaked the company’s internal data, and he provided the information to Bloomberg.

Netflix’s attorney wrote to Bloomberg, saying that the media agency’s disclosure of the confidential data in the aforementioned data file was “inappropriate”.
