The movie ‘Decision To Leave’ starring Wei Tang and Hae-il Park and directed by Park Chan-wook has a new trailer. The new trailer is available on the website.
The film tells the story of detective Hae-jun (Hae-il Park), who takes over a hiking accident case and meets Seo Rae (Wei Tang), the wife of a man who fell off a cliff, during the investigation.
In contrast to the reactions of the relatives around her, Seo Rae is calm about her husband’s death and is listed as the main suspect by the police. During the interrogation and surveillance of Seo Rae, Detective Hae-jun gradually finds himself interested in her.
Park Chan-wook won Best Director in the main competition at the 75th Cannes Film Festival for the film, which will be released in Korea on June 29 and in the U.K. and U.S. on October 14.
Recently, Park Chan-wook revealed in an interview that some viewers thought that Wei Tang was cast in the lead role because the female lead is from China, but the reality is that Park Chan-wook decided to cast Wei Tang in the lead role when planning the film and that’s why the female lead is from China.
He sent an offer to Wei Tang before the film’s script was completed, and only finished the rest of the script after she agreed to star in it.
