Christopher Nolan’s new film “Oppenheimer” announced a new cast, Josh Hartnett will join the film, but his role has not yet been made public.

At present, “Oppenheimer” has confirmed that Cillian Murphy will play the protagonist “Oppenheimer”. Other actors that have been confirmed to play are Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Ben Safdie.

“Oppenheimer” is a World War II movie that will focus on Robert Oppenheimer, the “father of the atomic bomb” of the United States, and his role in the development of the first atomic bomb.

In addition to the director, Christopher Nolan will also serve as the screenwriter. The script is adapted from the Pulitzer award-winning book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer” by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.

The original work is described as “an epic thriller”, which takes the audience into a thrilling paradox: a mysterious person must risk destroying the world to save the world.

“Oppenheimer” is funded and distributed by Universal. It will start shooting early this year and will be released in North America on July 21, 2023.
