Sony’s Marvel film ‘Madame Web’, has entered the final set stage of live action. According to media reports, the crew has been building sets in the New England states, and these sets will recreate the actual New York scenes around 2000.

However, it is not yet known whether the entire film will take place in New York around the year 2000, or only flashback footage so.

Madame Web in the comic is usually an older blind woman Cassandra Webb, because of neuromuscular disease, she can not move and breathe easily, need to be connected to the spider web like a survival system.

She has precognitive powers and has helped Spider-Man find kidnapped people. The movie will adapt this setting, she has a connection with the “multiverse”, and may be an important character to open multiple universes.

‘Madame Web’ is the first superhero film featuring a female protagonist in Sony’s Marvel universe of characters, directed by S.J. Clarkson (‘Collateral’ ‘The Defenders’) and written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, July 2023 Northern America release on July 7, 2023.
