Justin Lin to direct Hollywood version of “One Punch Man” live-action movie

Justin Lin, who recently resigned as director of ‘Fast & Furious 10′, soon found a new job, and according to media reports, Sony Pictures’ live-action version of ‘One Punch Man’ is in talks with him to direct the film.

In April 2020 Sony had announced that ‘Venom’ screenwriter Jeff Pinkner and Shepherd Scott Shepherd Rosenberg was responsible for the script, and Avi Arad and Ari Arad, who had produced the Marvel comic book movie and the live-action version of ‘Ghost in the Shell’, were the film’s producers.

One Punch Man’ protagonist Saitama is just an ordinary office worker, one day, in a chance encounter with a young man attacked by a mutant crab, his heart rose up with a sense of justice, to save him.

After that, Saitama’s dream of being a hero in his early childhood was rekindled inside, and in order to become more powerful, Saitama started a hard training.

A few years passed, as if he had been transformed into an unusually strong power, but paid the price of becoming bald.

Since Saitama’s power is simply too strong, no matter how formidable the enemy is, it takes only one punch to separate the winner from the loser.

Afterwards, Saitama met a reformer named Genos, who took Saitama’s absolute power as his teacher after appreciating it.

At the same time, Saitama and Genos enrolled in the Hero Association, became a real name and number of heroes, and thus began the journey to fight evil.

The original ‘One Punch Man’ comic sold over 30 million copies worldwide, and when the English version debuted in the U.S. in 2015, the first and second volumes hit the ‘The New York Times’ comic book bestseller list.
