On April 23, IMAX Egypt’s official account issued a document stating that “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, etc., will not be released locally. The specific reason was not stated.

Not long ago, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” was banned in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar because it contained LGBTQ+ characters, but the United Arab Emirates, also in the Middle East, was released on May 5 as usual.
