Today, the BBC officially announced that David Tennant, the tenth Doctor Who actor, will return to the new season of “Doctor Who” with female companion Catherine Tate.

Previously, the BBC also officially confirmed the 14th Doctor Who actor, Ncuti Gatwa, and the fourteenth season of “Doctor Who” will be officially broadcast next year.

It was previously announced that Ncuti Gatwa (“Sex Education”) would play the 14th Doctor, with Russell T Davies returning as executive.

The part of “Doctor Who” starring Tennant and Tate was also created by Davies, and their roles in the new season have not been exposed.

Davies only revealed: “It seems impossible – we announced a new Doctor, and then another old Doctor, and the awesome Donna, what happened? Maybe a missed story, Or a parallel world, or a dream, a trick, a flashback… The only thing I can confirm is this: it’s going to be awesome, two of our greatest stars are going to be reunited for a lifetime of hardships encounter battle.”
