Claire Denis (“High Life‎””Un beau soleil intérieur‎”) is shortlisted for the main competition in the new film “The Stars at Noon‎” starring Joe Alwyn and Margaret Qualley.

Based on Denis Johnson’s novel of the same name, “The Stars at Noon‎” tells the story of the 1980s, as Nicaragua’s political intrigue and violence continued, and the civil war between Sandinista revolutionaries and U.S.-backed counter-revolutionaries was at its height.
