The new Marvel film ‘Blade’, which previously experienced a creative lineup shakeup, is finally back on track after a series of adjustments.
A few days ago, it was revealed that the film will start filming in Atlanta this summer, in the media. For fans of the original film as well as comic book fans, this will be good news. Because, this means the official opening of the next phase of Marvel.
As for the director, Yann Demange, the director of ”71” White Boy Rick, will take up the helm of this film.
The cast, the famous black actress Mahershala Ali will play Blade himself, Aaron Pierre and Delroy Lindo will also be in the film; the screenplay is set for the drama version of ‘Watchmen’ and ‘Hunters’ screenwriter Stacy Osei-Kuffour.
Blade is an American Marvel Comics superhero, because his mother, Milliam, was bitten by the vampire Deacon Frost when she was about to give birth to him, and died after he was born, so he has half-human and half-vampire blood, and grew up to become a vampire hunter.
Currently, the Marvel Universe has proceeded to the fifth stage, more importantly, within the first four stages, Blade never showed up.
And from Marvel’s lineup, Marvel this time will not only introduce Blade the role, will also introduce such as vampires and other monster characters.
The film is currently scheduled to open next year, with a release date of September 6, 2024.
