Will Smith’s take-off as an actor, Bel-Air Season 1, a new remake of the classic sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” has an official trailer.

It announced a launch date: February 13 to stream Peacock.

This new version differs from the lighthearted comedy style of the original, with a darker, more realistic tone.

This version is adapted from “The Fresh Prince Bel-Air”, a 3-minute meal short film “Bel-Air” (that is, where the male lead in the play goes), directed, written and photographed by photographer Morgan Cooper. The style of the interpretation of the possible life of the protagonist boy, not the easy “The Fresh Prince”.

The short film was launched in 2019 and caused a lot of response, and Will Smith himself also talked about the viewing experience in the vlog.

In 2020, Smith’s production company, Westbrook Studios, announced that it would be teaming up with Cooper for a new version of The Fresh Prince Bel-Air, an adaptation of the short film.

“Bel-Air Season 1” is an hour-per-episode drama series that focuses on the complex life story of the young Will from the streets of West Philadelphia to wealthy Bel-Air.

Newcomer Jabari Banks plays this version of Will, with Smith himself narrating in the trailer.

Cooper also serves as director, co-writer and executive producer on the show, which is co-run by T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson.
