The cover of the famous DC comic book ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Returns’ by Frank Miller has fetched $2 million, according to media comicbook.

The sale also broke the previous auction record for the ‘Batman’ artwork.

Notably, the last auction record price was also a page of original artwork for ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Returns’ by Frank Miller, which sold for nearly $450,000.

‘Batman: The Dark Knight Returns’ is a comic book created by DC Comics, created by Frank Miller in 1986. This book is a modern comic book classic, one of the most influential comic book stories.

Writer and artist Frank Miller, in cooperation with line artist Klaus Janson and colorist Lynn Varley, completely recreated the legend of Batman.

He places the comic in the near future, ten years after Dark Knight’s retirement, and brings a dark world and an even darker man to life before the reader’s eyes.
