According to media Deadline, Amazon will release a live-action sequel “Blade Runner 2099” to “Blade Runner 2049”.

“Blade Runner” director Ridley Scott has been confirmed as executive producer for “Blade Runner 2099,” with Silka Luisa (“The Shining Girls”) writing the script, set 50 years after “Blade Runner 2049.”

“Blade Runner 2049,” released in 2017, is directed by “Dune” director Denis Villeneuve.

The story is set in the year 2049, when humans and replicants coexist, and a new generation of blade runner K (Ryan Gosling) finds the story of the previous blade runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), who has disappeared for many years.。
