Adult Swim has announced a spin-off of “Rick and Morty”: the Japanese anime-inspired “Rick and Morty: The Anime” from director Sano Takashi (“Tower of God”) has been pre-ordered for a full season of 10 episodes.
“Rick and Morty: The Anime” is described as a new story about “this wonderful family” that is separate from the mainline, but will include “Rick and Morty” themes and events.
Sano Takashi has previously created two “Rick and Morty” spinoff shorts: “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil)”, which have garnered over 10 million views on Adult Swim’s digital platforms quantity.
