“The producers of “Lightyear” revealed the reason for Lightyear’s change in voice actors: “This is not the world of Toy Story.”

We all know that Tim Allen has been the voice actor of Lightyear’s character in the “Toy Story” series, but in “Lightyear”, it was replaced by former Steve Rogers Chris Evans.

“Tim’s voice is kind of like a toy voice, but this isn’t the world of Toy Story, so it doesn’t really make sense.”

Galyn Susman, producer of Lightyear, said. “If it doesn’t really fit the character, it just creates more confusion for the audience than it does to help them understand our film.”

Angus MacLane, director of “Lightyear,” also said, “Lightyear’s character in “Toy Story” was a bit silly and a bit on the comedic side.

And in order to make him the main character, he needs to be more attractive, he needs to be funnier, but not in a way that sells silly.”
