Andrew Garfield shares again the secret tidbit that his return in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is really going to be kept a secret from everyone, including his ex-girlfriend, Emma Stone, star of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ .
In a recent appearance on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Andrew Garfield admitted that he had to keep his star on “Spider-Man: No Way Home” until last December’s release “The secret.
It’s for everyone, including his close ex-girlfriend, Emma Stone who played Gwen in “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
Andrew Garfield revealed: “Emma kept texting me and she asked, ‘Are you in this new Spider-Man movie?’ I could only reply: ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about!’ and she said ‘Shut up and tell me.’ Honestly, I just have to keep going, even with her, and it’s really funny to be honest.”

It wasn’t until the movie came out that Andrew Garfield finally opened up about his long-kept secret. “Then she saw that and she texted me, ‘You bastard!'”
Andrew Garfield first played friendly neighbor Spider-Man in “The Amazing Spider-Man” in 2012, and he recently returned in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
He joins current Spider-Man Tom Holland and another former Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire.
Andrew Garfield has also spoken in previous interviews about having to make up lies to keep things secret.
He described the process as “stressful but also fun”, admitting it felt like playing “a big game of werewolf kills”.
After starring in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, Andrew Garfield said he would consider returning to play Spider-Man again.
There could be many reasons to bring Andrew Garfield’s version of Peter Parker back to the big screen, and many fans have been clamoring for an ending to the halved “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
