The incident quickly went viral and became a wild cultural phenomenon. Some people printed Nicole Kidman’s image in the commercial on their T-shirts, and others made short videos to imitate it.
Even when AMC aired the cut-down version, the topic ‘ReleaseThe Kidman Cut’ was sent out on social media.
Nicole Kidman recently responded to this in an interview, saying, “I can’t say why it spread like a virus, but what I can say is that I’m glad to have brought a large number of viewers back to theaters through an act like this.”
It was reported that AMC first line executive Adam Maximilian Aron revealed that Nicole Kidman has renewed her contract and will remain as a theater spokesperson for another year.
