Zosia Mamet (‘The Flight Attendant’ ‘Girls’) joins Sony’s new Marvel Comics superhero film ‘Madame Web’ in an undisclosed role.

Madame Web, starring Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott and more, is the first superhero in Sony’s Marvel character universe to feature a woman Movie.

The film is directed by S.J. Clarkson (‘Collateral’ ‘The Defenders’) and written by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless (‘Morbius’ ‘Lost in Space’) and will be released on October 6 next year in Northern America release.

Madame Web in the comic is usually an elderly blind woman Cassandra Webb, due to neuromuscular disease, she can not move and breathe easily, need to be connected to the spider web like a survival system.

She has precognitive powers and has helped Spider-Man find kidnapped people. The movie will be adapted to this setting, she has a connection with the “multiverse” and may be an important character in opening multiple universes.
